Bad Credit Scores
Bad Credit is a score below 579, for some companies a bad credit score is considered below 650. These scores are considered high risk and may result in not being accepted for loans or credit cards.
Bad Credit Scores can be the result of not making payments, being late when making payments, bankruptcy, or outstanding debt. Bad Credit scores can also be the result of no credit.
Bad Credit can be repaired with time and an improved used of credit. Making payments on time and reducing debt will lead to a better credit score. Any loan or credit card offered to a person with bad credit will have high interest rates or APR. But you should accept this rates and use them to rebuild your credit, it may be your only option.
Any score below 500 is considered to low to lend too. Time is needed to rebuild this score to a more normal range. Even if you do find a credit card chances are the terms and APR are so brutal it is not worth the cost.
