Cash Back Rewards Credit Cards
Cash Back reward credit cards are a type of reward credit card. These cards offer an incentive of cash back or rebate on purchases. Because of the big incentive these cards often require good to excellent credit. Many cards offer 1% cash back on all your purchases as well as “special” rebates like an increased percentage on certain pays or during the first year.
With cash back reward credit cards it is important to read the small print. Some cards have a “cash back cap” or reward limit. This means you can only earn so much of a rebate, limiting the real incentive of the credit card. Also, it is easy to be attracted to a high incentive rate but the APR may be high or be raised after the initial 6-12 months.
Some cards offer a life time (of the credit card) guarantee on the incentive rate. Different cards also are partnered with different establishments like certain gas stations, or stores. For instance a card may offer a higher incentive rate with “top online retailers” or specific establishments.
Cash back credit cards are not limited to personal spending, businesses can also benefit from these reward cards. Some business cards offer special incentives for using their partners like FedEx or UPS.
